With Toddy Boehly as the new man in charge of Stamford Bridge, Chelsea expect total reinforcement, especially after losing some of their players in this summer transfer window.

The Premier League club has lost two of its key defenders, Antonio Rüdiger and Andreas Christensen, to Spanish clubs, Real Madrid and Barcelona, and they are pushing to strengthen these positions, completing the signing of Napoli captain Kalidou Koulibaly.

Chelsea are also highly interested in bringing in more defenders, with the Blues progressing in discussions with former player Nathan Aké and French center-back Presnel Kimpembe.

Despite the defensive leaks, the Blues also have significant weaknesses in their attacking positions following poor performances from the club's attackers last season, particularly losing two finals to Liverpool without a single goal in 120 minutes.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel appears to be fully aware of the situation, having previously expressed his interest in a number of Premier League forwards, including Brazilian duo Richarlison and Raphinha, who have since joined Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona.

The German tactician, who has the backing of the club's new owner, has been linked with several attacking players. Nonetheless, he has only signed highly talented winger Raheem Sterling after reaching a £45m agreement with Manchester City for the England international.

Raheem Sterling's arrival at the London club is expected to be a huge boost for Thomas Tuchel's side. Still, former Aston Villa player Gabriel Agbonlahor believes Chelsea currently do not have what it takes to compete for titles.

The former England international player has pinpointed two places in Chelsea's front line that need strengthening, labeling two of the club's attackers "not good enough" for Tuchel's team.

"Chelsea needs to sign a striker and another winger. They need more firepower! "Pulisic and Ziyech aren't good enough!" said Agbonlahor in a podcast with talkSPORT. I would say Tottenham Hotspur are better suited to challenge the top two than Chelsea are! "

Chelsea broke the bank last summer to complete a £97 million record signing of Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan in a quest to solve their striking problem, but the effort has proven futile due to the Belgian striker's underwhelming performances.

Thomas Tuchel was forced into his old method of frequently using German international player Kai Havertz as a force nine after Romelu Lukaku failed to blend into his playing style.

The 48-year-old knows he needs a striker this summer to compete, especially after seeing his rival Liverpool and Manchester City sign two of Europe's most sought-after strikers, Darwin Núñez and Erling Haaland.

The Blues have been linked with Manchester United's talented striker Cristiano Ronaldo following news of his want-away from Old Trafford, but it is quite uncertain if the German manager will go for him this summer.

The imminent arrival of Raheem Sterling to Chelsea could play a big part in solving Tuchel's problem in that position. However, the manager could still look for players for the position with the summer transfer window far from ending.
